GenAI Risk Management: A layman’s guide

The NIST AI 600-1 Framework was designed to help organizations navigate this complex landscape. The framework focuses on four key pillars—Govern, Map, Measure, and Manage—that empower businesses to identify, monitor, and mitigate AI-related risks before they become major issues. Key Risks Associated with GenAI Implementation and Use

1. CBRN Information or Capabilities

Brief Description: Generative AI could make it easier for bad actors to access information or tools related to dangerous materials, such as chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear (CBRN) weapons. While today’s AI tools can help analyze publicly available information, the potential for harm grows as AI capabilities evolve.
